Palestine Technical School Will Open

A technological school to consist at first of a mechanical and chemical department will be opened here for the 1934-35 school year, it was announced. The faculty will consist of a number of European Jewish scientists, including exiled German Jewish scholars.

Students who desire admission must be graduates of an accredited secondary school. The course will be spread over four years and graduates will receive a degree of technological engineer.

The committee sponsoring the school includes Mayor Meyer Dizengoff of Tel Aviv; Vice Mayor I. Rokach, I. Rosenfeld, consulting engineer of the Palestine Economic Corporation; A. Shenkar, president of the Palestine Manufacturers Association; I. Tuwim, I. Seidener, A. Gut, S. Tulkowski, Dr. A. Kastilian-Kastilianski and L. Polikanski.
