In a remorseless fashion the Austrian government is steadily continuing its campaign to oust all Jews from federal and state employ.

Seven Jewish doctors, specialists attached to the government sick benefit insurance fund for the employes of the Department of Commerce, were summarily dismissed today without any warning.

Up to now the specialists have been left alone, only general practitioners being dismissed.

A few days ago sixteen Jewish doctors employed by the government sick benefit insurance company were dismissed in the same fashion, and another group of Jewish doctors, employed by the same concern, were threatened with dismissal.

At first the company claimed economic conditions made it necessary to dismiss the Jewish doctors, but soon after, applications from “Aryan” doctors to fill the places of the Jewish medical men were invited.
