Poland and Polish Jews were urged today to protect the Jews of the Free City of Danzig from the discriminatory policies recently embarked upon by the authorities there. A committee of Danzig Jewish artisans now in this city called upon the Minister of Commerce and upon the Jewish Economic Committee to ask for aid.

Danzig, which is a self-governing area under the supervision of the League of Nations, and a German-Polish convention, recently came under control of radical Nazi elements which have begun strict application of the “Aryan paragraph” to Jews in the trades.
