After the concert yesterday afternoon at Carnegie Hall under Hans Lange, Werner Janssen will take over the Philharmonic-Symphony baton for the next fortnight.

Beginning Thursday night the young American conductor’s programs will feature American works of John Alden Carpenter, Leo Sowerby, Roy Harris, Henry F. Gilbert, and MacDowell, as well as European novelties by the Bavarian composer Werner Egak and the Italian Alberto Gasco.

Mr. Lange at his final performance will present the Handel-Harty “Water Music” Suite, Delius’ “Brigg Fair,” and the Elger Second Symphony.
