Grey Shirt leaders. In the twelve-day trial at Grahamstown, at which Judge President Sir Thomas Graham presided and Mr. Justice Gutsche assisted, the Grey Shirt allegations fell apart.

Dr. Nahum Sokolow, president of the World Zionist Organization, then on a tour in South Africa, was one of the most important witnesses and told how he and Ward Price, English journalist, uncovered the origin of the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” and proved them a forgery based on an obscure French pamphlet directed against Napoleon III of France.
