One-half of Boston’s quota of $15,000 in the Jewish National Fund campaign for the redemption of land in Palestine was subscribed at a luncheon in honor of Maurice Levin, New York department store owner, at the local chamber of commerce.

Speakers were Rabbi Harry Levy of Temple Israel Elihu D. Stone, head of the New England Zionist region; Carl Freyfus, publisher; Rabbi H. H. Rubenovitz, chairman of the New England J.N.F.; Mrs. Abbot J. Epstein, president of Boston Hadassah; Philip Potash, director of the New England J.N.F., and Mendel N. Fisher of New York.

The opening of the Boston campaign marked the official launching of the New England $50,000 drive.
