We’re in the column-writing business long enough without a contest, so here goes. This is going to be a swell contest, too. Simple and with two grand prizes.

You are to write in fifty words, “Why I would like to spend my vacation at The Grossinger,” and for those who state the case in the clearest, most effective wordage, there will be two prizes of a week’s vacation right here at The Grossinger. One prize will be awarded to the best fifty words sent from a reader in New York City (including all the boroughs) and a similar week’s vacation prize will be awarded to a reader outside of New York.

The contest closes in two weeks (June 23rd) and the winning letters will be printed in this column.

The judges will be Mr. A. Paul DiPalma, Mr. Monte Proser and Mr. Milton Black-stone, three upright advertising men who will eliminate from consideration all relatives and creditors. Which is a polite suggestion to said relatives and creditors.

In any case, this is a contest wherein the effort is small compared with the great reward for success.

Send your letter NOW while It’s on your mind, to:

Mr. Milton Blackstone

RKO Bldg., 1270 – 6th Avenue,

New York, N. Y.
