Troyanovsky to Confer with Komzet on Bureya Plans

Soviet Ambassador Troyanovsky, now in Russia, is scheduled to confer with Komzet, the Soviet committee for settlement of the Jews on the land, on final details for opening Biro-Bidjan, autonomous Jewish territory, to non-Russian Jewish settlers, it was revealed today by the Soviet Embassy.

The Soviet Government has made specific commitments in permitting settlement of Jews from other countries. Plans are under way for settling a first group of European Jews in the spring of 1936.
