Dr. Stephen S. Wise of New York declared at a meeting here today that “Great Britain is mighty enough not to be blackmailed by acts of violence on the part of Arab leaders.”

He said that if he had a free hand to choose a new mandatory power for Palestine, he would name Britain. He added: “I do not believe the Arab masses are opposed to entry of Jews into Palestine.” Dr. Wise revealed he expects to leave for London shortly to discuss Jewish problems with the Government.
