Arabs have destroyed 140,000 trees, many of them fruit-bearing, since the disorders began in Palestine, the Jerusalem correspondent of Reuters News Agency estimated today.

About 4,000 acres of grain have also been put to the torch, the same source stated.

The correspondent puts direct damages to Jewish property at $900,000. Previous estimates by insurance experts, the Palestine newspapers and Arab leaders placed total losses to Jews, Arabs and Government at $15,000,000, with Jewish losses approximately half of the total. The latter estimates include losses incurred by business and traceable to the falling off of tourist trade.
