Poland’s Emigration Quota to U.S. Unfilled

Strict interpretation by the American Consulate of the “public burden” provision of United States immigration regulations has kept the quota from Poland unfilled, it was revealed here today.

The disclosure was made at a plenary session of the executive of the Jewish Emigrant Aid Society, when an official announced that American visas were not being fully utilized because of the consulate’s rigid application of the regulation.
