The League of Nations Mandates Commission, opening its thirtieth session Tuesday, will consider a number of petitions from Arab and Jewish residents of Palestine received by the League over a long period of time, it was announced today.
Great Britain’s administration of the Palestine mandate is on the agenda, but Britain’s refusal to report on recent disorders in the Holy Land until its Royal Commission concludes its investigation precludes any real consideration of the mandate administration, it was pointed out.
Count Theodoli of Italy is scheduled to preside, but the strained relations between Italy and the League have cast some doubts on whether he will be in the chair when the sessions open.
