Secession Threat over Arab-jewish Parity Issue Denied

The central committees of the Mizrachi, orthodox Zionist group, and Group “B” of the General Zionists, denied to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency today the report that they had, in company with representatives of the Jewish State Party, threatened

to secede if the Zionist General Council’s political subcommittee voted to go on record for Arab-Jewish parity now and in the future. A test vote yesterday showed the committee lined up 12 to 9 for a parity declaration.
