The first world exhibition of Hashomer Hatzair, Jewish scout movement, was opened today in Kresta Maehrisch Ostrau, in celebration of the fifteenth anniversary of the Czech section and the tenth anniversary of the organization’s settlement in Palestine.
The exhibition was opened by Eli Schoenfeld. Addresses of welcome were delivered by representatives of the Government and the city. The movement includes 60,000 members in 22 countries.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
