The World Jewish Congress executive today named a subcommittee to deal with the situation of the Jews in Italy. The meeting, at which dr. Nahum Goldmann of Geneva presided, heard reports on the work of the executive’s political department submitted by Dr. Goldmann and Louis Lipsky, of New York. The Rev. M.L. Perlzweig of Britain reported on his conversations with members of the South African Government and the situation in South Africa.
