Vladimir Poliakoff, Russian-born publisher, died several days ago at the age of 74, it was disclosed today. He became the center of a public controversy in 1937 when he sold the German emigre newspaper Pariser Tageblatt, of which he was publisher. It was charged by the editor, George Bernhard, and staff members that he had sold out to Nazi interests. Mr. Poliakoff denied this and supported his denial with a series of libel suits against newspapers which printed the allegation.
