The Jewish Theological Seminary announced today that the will of Mrs. Morris Lurie provided a grant of $25,000 to the pension fund for superannuated members of the rabbinate. Mrs. Lurie was for many years associated with Mrs. Solomon Schechter in the Seminary’s Student House and was active in the Women’s League of the United Synagogue from its inception. A committee including President Max Arzt of the Rabbinical Assembly of America is working on plans to put the fund into operation.
