On advice of his physician, Otto M. Schiff has decided because of overwork to restrict considerably his participation in refugee work starting with the new year, it was learned today. Although Mr. Schiff, “under pressure,” will continue to act as president of the German Refugee Committee, his general duties will be taken over by a “committee of management.” Mr. Schiff will be at Bloomsbury House, headquarters of the refugee committee, only a few hours daily and will no longer attend to individual cases.
