The desperate plight of Bessarabian and Bukovinian Zionist leaders was revealed today in a cable to the Jewish Agency from Bucharest. The cable said that those leaders who remained in the Soviet-occupied provinces are unable to escape while those who fled to Rumania cannot go on to Palestine because of the Government’ s order that they must return to Russia.
