An intensive Arab campaign for the complete independence of all Arab states is underway in the Near East, Joseph M. Levy, New York Times correspondent, reports in a Cairo dispatch. This movement is aimed at eventual creation of a federation which would include Egypt, Palestine, Syria, Transjordan, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

The collapse of France and the consequent uncertainty and ambiguity concerning the future status of Syria have strongly revived Arab nationalist trends, it was said.
