Bundist Seized As World’s Fair Bombing Suspect

Edward A. Kangesier, former member of the German-American Bund, was under arrest here today for questioning in connection with the July 4 bomb explosion at the World’s Fair in which two detectives were killed and two others seriously injured.

Kangesier, 38 was seized at his furnished room at 52 West 87th Street yesterday. Police found a blackjack made in Germany, ten tear-gas pistols and 200 tear-gas cartridges in the room which was littered with Nazi pamphlets, a swastika flag and anti-Jewish banners and posters. Born in Amsterdam, N.Y. of German parents, Kangesier has been working at the Sperry Gyroscope Company at Long Island City, Queens. The company manufactures time mechanisms for explosives.
