The hope that Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the Jewish Agency, will be admitted to the United Nations Conference at San Francisco “to plead the Jewish cause”, was expressed here last night by Lord Strabolgi addressing a meeting held in honor of Dr. Weizmann.

Prof. Selig Brodotsky, a member of the executive of the Jewish Agency, termed “absurd” and “foolish” the signing by an Arab delegate from Palestine of the convencent of the projected Arab League. Jews, he said, cannot be ignored by the League when formed, nor can the Jews remain a minority in Palestine forever. Alce Alexander, chairman of the Anglo-Jewish Association, joining in the tribute to Dr. Weizmann, declared that there is still time to continue talks with Arab leaders and that the Jews can achieve much from such talks.
