A memorandum urging the restoration of property and rights taken from the Jews of Slovakia by the former pro-Nazi regime has been presented to the chairman of the Slovak National Council, autonomous parliament of the Slovakian section of Czechoslovakia, the Bratislava radio said today.
It reports that the memorandum was submitted by a delegation representing the Association of Jewish Religious Communities in Slovakia, which was assured by the council chairman that the problem of restoration of rights would be solved. The Jewish representatives, the broadcast added, expressed the desire of the Jewish population to participate in the economic and social reconstruction of the country as citizens equipped with equal rights.
