Continued support in the fight against the Palestine White Paper has been promised by the parliamentary representatives of the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation–the Socialist party of Canada and the only political party in the Dominion which, at a national convention, adopted a resolution asking for a Jewish Commonwealth in Palestine.

Speaking in the House of Commons Alistair Stewart (C.C.F. Winnipeg North) urged that Palestine be opened to the Jews and said that opposition to Jewish aspirations came from Arab kings and princes who exploited the people. The Arab worker and the Arab peasant had no objection to opening the gates of Palestine to the Jews, he added.

David Lewis, National Secretary of the C.C.F., stated that it is the duty of the British Labor Government to abrogate the White Paper without delay. Cables to Prime Minister Attlee asking for the abrogation of the White Paper have been sent by A. R. Mosher, president of the Canadian Congress of Labor and Percy Bengough, president of the Trades and Labor Congress of Canada.
