Tension Prevails in Tripoli; British Land More Troops to Prevent New Outbreaks

In an effort to forestall further anti-Jewish disturbances in Tripolitania, British military authorities today reinforced their units here with a battalion of the Gordon Highlanders, which disembarked in Tripoli. The situation here is quiet, but tension has not abated. Sir Bernard Paget, British Commander-in-Chief in the Middle East, left for Cairo today after conferring here with local authorities.
