A number of Jewish families living in Lebanon will be permitted to emigrate to Israel as a result of an agreement reached at the last meeting of the mixed Israeli -Lebanese armistice commission, it was learned here today. The number of families, or other details of the exchange, have not yet been revealed.

The next armistice negotiations session between the Jews and Syrians will be held on the Israeli-Syrian border Friday. A Syrian proposal for an armistice line running through the Jordan River and Lakes Huleh and Galilee was turned down by the Jew, but both sides promised to study a compromise plan submitted by U.N. officials.
