A plan to perpetuate the deeds of every Jewish community in the world participating in the up building of Israel was cabled today to the Zionist Actions Committee now in session in .Jerusalem, by Dr. I. Schwarzbart, a member of the Committee.
The plan proposes that members of the Actions Committee tour–in behalf of the Jewish Agency executive–major Jewish communities throughout the world for the Purposes of conducting emergency drives to raise funds for housing, children’s care, schools and a merchant navy in Israel.
“The emergency drives should be conducted in the various countries outside of Israel in addition to the regular drives of the united Jewish appeals,” the plan stated, “The fundamental idea of these drives should be to assign special tasks within the scheme of Israeli up building work to each local Jewish community and erect in Israel visible perpetuation of the names of the contributing communities,” the cable said.
