American Jewish Committee’s Role Explained in Argentina

Dr. Simon Segal, director of the foreign affairs division of the American Jewish Committee, told a press conference here this week-end that the American Jewish Committee had provided “valuable help” in obtaining the United States grant-in-aid for Israel and was a big unifying factor in American Jewish life and an important factor in obtaining aid for Israel from non Zionist circles. He warned against hegemony of the Jewish Agency in the Diaspora which, he said, could cause a split in United States Jewry.
