Students from 88 colleges, universities and theological seminaries throughout the world are registered in the Dropsie College for Hebrew and Cognate Learning for the current academic year, it was announced today by Dr. Abraham A. Neuman, president of the College. The students come from four foreign countries – China, England, France and Israel – and from as far west as California and as far south as Texas.

“This international character of the Dropsie student body,” Dr. Neuman said, “is a tribute to the status of Dropsie throughout the world. Although ours is a comparatively small institution, and has a highly specialized sphere of interest, our faculty and our alumni are among the top authorities in their respective fields. This is what brings us students from such world famous foreign institutions as the Sorbonne in Paris; the Hebrew University in Jerusalem; the North China Theological Seminary; the University of London; the University of Manchester and others.”
