Israel has asked the British Government to refuse to supply arms to the Arab States until they agree to make peace with Israel.

The request was made by Eliahu Elath, Israel Minister here, who has had two meetings during the past week with Sir J. Bowker of the Foreign Office’s department of Middle Eastern and African affairs. The discussions covered a wide range of Middle East questions including the threatened Arab-Israel arms race.
