A new cultural program for American Jewry, possibly involving “the thinkers and scholars of our day” may be launched by British soon, it was reported by Philip M. Klutzniak, president of the Order, at the annual convention of District Grand Lodge No 2, held here.

“Because we are a democratic organization whose president can only recommend,” he said. “I have refrained from announcing a program which I am deeply hopeful our governing body may approve. It is a program that will add further evidence of our irrevocable commitment to a richer, more scholarly, deeper Jewish life of tomorrow. In this program I hope we may involve the formal collaboration of the thinkers and the scholars of our day, so all of us may get from their participation the stimulation which we so sorely need.”
