For the third time in six weeks, Saudi Arabia today presented a letter to the UN Security Council charging Israel with “provocative and aggressive” acts in the Gulf of Akaba. The letter, however, did not ask the Council to meet on the issue. The Security Council will resume debate tomorrow on Syria’s complaint against Israel concerning Israel’s construction of a bridge across the southern tip of the Lake Huleh swamp.
