The American position on full discussion here of the Middle East situation is still very fluid, according to a spokesman for the United States delegation. The members of the U.S. delegation are still interested in broad, limitless discussion of the entire subject, the spokesman stated. The Americans, he said, are willing to hold these discussions formally on the floor of the Assembly or in committee, or privately with other delegations and “in the light of these discussions we will decide what to do.”
