Sidney Silverman, a British Labor M. P., was denied permission to enter Jordan from Israel for the purpose of visiting British troops stationed in the Hashemite kingdom, the Times of London reported from Jerusalem.
The Times report declared that Mr. Silverman was barred because of Jordan’s rule against the entrance of Jewish visitors. Mr. Silverman, on whose behalf the British Ambassador in Amman intervened, had not known of Jordan’s rule, the Times dispatch said.
