Ahmed Ben Bella, in his first address as Prime Minister of Algeria before the United Nations, told the General Assembly today that “our brother Arab people of Palestine must have their legitimate rights re-established.” He called for “implementation of all United Nations resolutions supporting this right.”

(Mrs. Golda Meir, Israel’s Foreign Minister, reiterated in her address at the UN Assembly today the statement she made before the Israel Parliament last June, to the effect that Israel “shall be glad to establish with independent Algeria the same beneficial relationship as exists between us and other new states.”)
