The immediate expansion of Israel’s Negev development enterprises was urged here today by Sir Ben Lockspeiser, prominent British scientist. “We are now at the turning point, from which we can begin to double the output of development companies in the Negev,” Sir Ben declared at the conclusion of the seventh meeting of the Development Ministry’s Technological Advisory Board.
He said that progress made by the development companies proved the viability of various extractive and chemical industries in the Negev, and suggested that now was the time to begin searching for the large-scale financing necessary for the manifold expansion of their operations.
