Policy issues of the University, whether academic or administrative, will in the future be brought before a coordinating committee of the two branches for submission to either the senate or the executive board of the university, it was announced today. The task of the new body, which held its first meeting yesterday, is to clarify major policy matters, it was stated. Its decisions will be binding. Dr. Wise said today that, in his understanding, this means that the committee members will be bound to support the decisions of the committee when they take the policy matters before their respective policy-making bodies of the university.
