The Soviet government announced yesterday new measures which will make the obtainment of an exit visa more difficult, David Korn, chairman of the Soviet Jewry Committee of the Jewish Community Council of Greater Washington, reported. Korn said that principal among these is the need for additional documents in order to obtain a visa.

Korn also reported that a group of 20 Jews attempted to meet yesterday with a member of the Politbureau in reference to a letter of pro-teat it had sent to the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet a month ago. The group waited the entire day and then was told that it would not be allowed, now or in the future, to discuss the demands made in the letter, Korn said. The letter had dealt with the right of Jewish emigration from the Soviet Union and Soviet persecution of Jews.
