TEL AVIV (May. 16)
Israel’s Red Mogen David dispatched four tons of emergency supplies for the earthquake victims in northern Italy aid the weekend. Prof. Moshe Many; chairman of the Red Mogen David, said additional supplies would be sent when the Italian Red Cross determines what is needed.
The first relief shipment, consigned to the Italian Red Cross, consisted of tents, cots and blankets, items given top priority by the Italian authorities. The Red Mogen David has offered medical equipment and blood plasma. Last year the Red Mogen David sent relief supplies to disaster areas in Turkey, Thailand and Guatemala.
