Folklore Festival to Draw Thousands

American folk dancers from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah comprise the largest of 14 overseas delegations participating in the Second International Folklore Festival which opens at the Municipal Stadium here tomorrow. The American group is headed by Dr. J. Elliot Cameron and artistic director, Merry B. Jensen.

In addition to Israel and the U.S., participating countries are England, Bolivia, West Germany, Holland, Turkey, Yugoslavia, Scotland, France, Rumania, Switzerland, Mexico and Finland.

The first of 10 evening performances to be given in cities and towns throughout Israel will be held Sunday at the new Sports Field House in the Rommemma section of Haifa. The festival is sponsored by the Confederation International Organisateur Festival Folklore (CIOFF) and will be conducted under the patronage of the ministries of education and tourism and Mayor Yerucham Zeisel of Haifa. More than 100,000 Israelis and tourists are expected to attend the various performances.
