The Israel Defense Force has alerted neighboring Arab countries that it will hold a mobilization exercize shortly. Advance notice of such exercizes is always given to avoid possible misunderstanding in Arab countries.
The practice call-up of reserve soldiers and vehicles is a more or less regular event. Israel Radio broadcasts the code names of units to be called up. The reservists assemble at given points and are then dismissed. The IDF also uses a secret mobilization system whereby reservists are alerted by written orders delivered to their homes by messengers.
