Leonid Zeliger, a 37-year-old Leningrad refusenik, has written a Hebrew textbook which was recently published in Israel. The original manuscript was brought to Israel from the Soviet Union, according to the National Conference on Soviet Jewry. The 671-page book in Russian and Hebrew is considered by scholars to be “an excellent and fundamental textbook,” one which has been lacking in the Russian language.
