A U.S. federal jury convicted a Palestinian immigrant of plotting to bomb New York City’s subway system last year. Gazi Ibrahim Abu Maizar could face life imprisonment as a result of the jury’s decision. A Palestinian co-defendant, Lafi Khalil, was acquitted of that charge, but was convicted of carrying an illegal green card.
