Polish prosecutors charged a history professor Monday for writing a book that allegedly denies that the Holocaust took place. “Dangerous Themes” by Dariusz Ratajczak violates a Polish law banning the public denial of Nazi and Communist-era crimes, the prosecutors said. The book claims that gas chambers at Nazi death camps were used to kill lice on prisoners. If convicted, Ratajczak, who has been suspended from his teaching position, could face up to three years in prison.
