A Holocaust denier lost a libel lawsuit he filed against an American scholar and her publisher. A British judge ruled that David Irving, who claims the Nazis did not use gas chambers to kill Jews and that Hitler had no plan to exterminate the Jewish people, failed to prove that his reputation had been damaged by Deborah Lipstadt and her publisher in a book that branded him a denier.
