The Art Institute of Chicago found a way to keep a sculpture that had been sold at auction during the Nazi occupation of France. The museum will pay the heirs of Jewish art collector Federico Gentili di Giuseppe for the sculpture “Bust of a Youth,” by Francesco Mochi. In turn, the family will donate the artwork to the institute.
