Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak said he would press on with the peace process despite a threat by a leading coalition party to quit his government. “I’m not dealing with petty politics,” Barak said. “I’m dealing with the national agenda. We have important work to do.” His comments came as officials from the fervently Orthodox Shas Party said it is unlikely they will back off their plans to resign from the government on Sunday.
