Israeli troops fired at a convoy in the Gaza Strip that was carrying three Palestinian security officials back from talks with their Israeli counterparts in central Israel. Israel said the soldiers returned fire after shots were fired from the lead car in the Palestinian convoy. The Palestinians said the Israelis fired first.
