U.S. Senators are expected to introduce a bill Monday that would condemn an Egyptian TV miniseries based on an anti-Semitic tract. The resolution, sponsored by Sens. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) and Gordon Smith (R-Ore.), urges the government of Egypt to halt the broadcast of the miniseries and to “speak out against such incitement by vigorously and publicly condemning anti-Semitism as a form of bigotry.” In a broadcast timed to coincide with the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, “Horseman Without a Horse” began airing on Egyptian television earlier this month.
