A leading Orthodox rabbi is urging a lifting of the longtime ban on theological discussions between Christians and Jews. Eugene Korn challenged a 1964 edict by the late Rabbi Joseph Soloveitchik, leader of 20th-century modern Orthodoxy, who said interfaith talks with Catholics and other Christians could address political, social and moral issues, but not theology.
